I have been an educator for as long as I can remember. Even before I completed any teacher training programme, I was helping my friends to learn what interested them. I was a classroom teacher and department head for 33 years. I had the privilege of being an associate teacher to so many gifted teachers as they were completing their in-service training in order to become credentialed to work in the classroom.
While I am no longer a full-time teacher, my interest, care, concern and curiosity for and about the teaching profession in all its aspects and areas has not diminished. It is very close to my heart.
And I know that I am not alone.
I’m inviting anyone who has an interest in education in any way to consider being a part of a writing project. I’d like to be part of creating a book of essays about education. What follows is a working title for this work and a list of the areas that interest me. I know that there are so many more aspects of the whole discussion of education which I have not listed.
If the idea of this calls to you or piques your interest, let’s start a discussion. What other areas or avenues for consideration might be part of this work? What would you be interested in writing about?
I look forward to hearing back from everyone who is interested. I can be contacted clicking HERE.
