This year, for the first time, I received a report from WordPress of the activity on my blog, Authentic Vibrations. Here’s what I learned:
- I posted 20 new pieces to the blog this past year. I began posting to this blog in June 2012. There are now 122 posts.
- I’ve posts in 5 categories: Choices, Personal Growth and Self-Discovery, Educational Issues and Comments, Music and the Arts, and For the fun of it.
- Of these 5 categories, the posts on Educational Issues and Comments have received the most views – especially my posts on Jacob Barnett’s TED talk and on my personal credo as an educator.
- My posts have been read by people in 76 countries around the world – in North America, Europe, Russia, Micronesia, the Far East, the Near East, Australia, Nordic countries, and South America.
I am honoured that the pieces I’ve written – my views and opinions, have been received by so many people around the world – over 1600. When I began this blog, it was because I felt compelled to write. I still do. I write about issues and events and thoughts which are important to me. I have never written and posted anything here with the sole goal of attracting large numbers of people or solely influencing how others think. I do hope that what I write engages others so that I might tweak their interest or promote their thoughts and personal discoveries.
What I am aware of as I write this is that, thanks to the internet, we live in a global world. We are no longer constrained by our geography. And I am aware that we are all members of a world of seekers. We are looking to understand our world and ourSelves. And in doing that, we are all change agents for as we are changed, we change the world around us as we create a ground swell of change and evolution in our world.
And so, I will continue to write and post pieces to Authentic Vibrations. I will hold that what I write will have an impact on others. As part of this hope, I encourage all who read my blog to become followers of it so that they will be informed immediately once I post something new. And I encourage all who read them to share my posts with others as they choose to.
May this next year be one of continued growth and evolution, creativity and curiosity for us all.
